The Lineage OS is an excellent Android Development effort that is very mature, whth a well developed build infrastructure.

Perhaps Pine might look at integrating the rock64 development with them?

They have weekly updates, that can be applied easily, and notify user when available.
They have a secure root option that is mature
They have a ton of support.
They have a no google stuff. You can add later, or not.

A difficulty will be they have no Rockchip kernals.

Does this seem a resonable suggestion?
Personally, I switched to another card to benefit from LINEAGE OS. I also look forward to it being available for rock 64.
If there is Lineage developers interest to maintain ROCK64 build, please PM me and I will provide hardware.

did the lineage developers get a board or did the user not make contact?

I talked to a developer from lineageos. I asked if there was anyone in lineageos team who ported its operating system to pine hardware.
He replied that the developers of lineageos already provided the source of lineageos and asked if I could load the source to port it myself.
Of course I would like to try that and I am also willing to deal with the topic in depth. However, I worry about destroying my device. Currently I use my rock64 productively and can not abuse this for test purposes.
to summarize it again:
The developers only provide the source. the finished roms are provided by users who joined the team of lineageos. however, they are not "official" developers.
Pine can therefore send his hardware only to a user who takes the matter but not the developers themselves because they do not care about such things.

I'll be happy to donate a board to you and whoever wishes to help you out with Lineage OS for R64.
To get LineageOS on Rock64 working, it would take great efforts and probably a single person cannot do it alone. Would need at least 3 people contributing to the project as Rockchip has modified almost every important AOSP Module. I tried by just merging Rockchip's AOSP Base with LineageOS (CM14.1), first of all, there were huge conflicts, secondly, compile-time errors were uncountable.

Here is my failed attempt.

I am unsure, but... I think no one uses Rockchips anything. I think many are using ayufan's repo instead of rockchip, because not crap. And he pulls/culls not crap from crap pile and puts in his?

Is this possible?
