I imagine it would be easier for Pine to get a NDA+DataSheet to [re]implement drivers then some community member.
I wonder if the rock64 will be the first ARM SBC to have 4k h265 + Wayland or if this disappointing vendor stance will slow it down.
Rockchip is very active to have proper linux support going, so the chances are bigger than ever.
Any update on the stock LXDE build with sound fixed? Thanks.

Maybe xenial-minimal-rock64-0.5.10-118-arm64.img.xz

Code:
sudo apt-get install xorg lxde lxdm lxsession-logout chromium-browser
sudo reboot

Ran the commands on Ayufan's armhf version of Xenial Minimal -130 as I need to be able to install the JRiver MediaCenter software on it. Now I get a slow flashing cursor in the upper left, not desktop, no terminal login, nada. Could be the 130 build but I doubt it. I'll play some more. Thanks for the info though, didn't think to just add the desktop. Doesn't let the Pine folks off the hook to get the sound working on the stock LXDE build though does it. Smile

The prerelease have a problem with the mali and xorg as a startx shows.
I think they are prerelease and I am playing catchup but not ready to start with those.

I posted that as I have already had it working fine with the release img, haven't done well with the prerelease.
I have been trying to get Lubuntu-QT up and running and with tests got LXDE running with the above.

[EDIT]
Nope HF just did the same so must of been Arm64 as was working on it for a couple of hours and chromium and LXDE worked fine.

Added Community Build Jessie OpenMediaVault Linux Kernel ver 4.4 [microSD to eMMC Boot] [0.5.10-118]

Hello, this image is great, but I would like it to be the ARMHF version. Is there any way to make it or convert it from microSD boot image? thanks
