CUPS, 50%
#1
But I'm not using 'buntu so it's probably better than that
Stock, Q4OS (stretch): NO ,,,, manjaro,bullseye: YES
Just to save you some time, if you meet caveats, 5 minutes,
otherwise waste hours, and no result
With an arm device you are almost certain to use airprint (bonjour/avahi)
(unless you have postscript printer or compile filter yourself, manjaro has some)
Background: Apple came out with airprint about 2010 for iphone, ipad
the manufactures quickly adopted because ..... apple
Printer must be 2010 or >
localhost:631 is cups 2.2.4 or >
Printer on network,,,,, there is a driver for ipp/http over usb, you must compile
Then it is just a question of the right address, cups will let you know if wrong
The ppd is a bit sparse, but you get to print
For older, use SAMBA
--edit--
I was not clear, when time to pick ppd, pick generic
1st is ipp everywhere,, ippeve.ppd
2nd is driverless,, drvless.ppd
Slightly different
If you pick specific model, will NOT work
