I wouldn't think they could have- RemixOS was a new thing after the KS started, and a lot of the other operating systems weren't ready to be tested yet. Pine64 only aimed for $36k to get off the ground, then develop once there was a small following. They never expected $2.5M in sales Still, i'm kinda worried- i hope RemixOS and @longsleep can fix the ethernet/wifi issue. It would be pretty useless to have a beefy 2GB ram board that can't fully utilize its potential.
If I've helped you with something, please leave a rating for my responses.

Same issue here with 2GB board. The Remix OS keeps rebooting as soon as I plug in ethernet cable.

Remix is rebooting on me as well as soon as the ethernet is plugged in. Side note I have already installed and confirmed Android works fine with and without the ethernet plugged in. My first boot with Remix was with only power and HDMI and it booted perfectly fine. As soon as the language screen appeared I plugged in my keyboard and mouse, went through those steps and got to the desktop. After exploring around in it a bit I plugged in the ethernet and a few seconds later it rebooted. That next reboot I got all the way through to the desktop, with everything plugged in (mouse, KB and etherent), but after 4 secs it goes back into the same boot loop. The power supply I'm using is from my an old Galaxy S4 it's 5V/2A charger. Again I used the same PS and ethernet with the Android build and it worked fine.

Exact same problem here. 2GB version with 5V/2A charger. Remix OS is stuck in an endless loop with ethernet plugged in. It boots without ethernet, but when I plug in ethernet it starts the reboot loop again in a few seconds. Android and Arch Linux both boot and run with the same hardware, including ethernet.

Sometimes Remix OS can get into endless loop on 2GB board, this has reported to Remix folks and they are working on resolve this issue.

This is great news, thanks for the info ! Looking forward to trying out Remix OS on my 2gb board.
