Hash for 7.1 file?
Thanks!

Which version did you download (so I/someone can download the same one and hash it), and it might be worth downloading the image again anyway, in case you have a corrupt download.
I have tried downloading and flashing Luke's google drive version 3 times...

Oh derp... I was thinking of a different image when I said this... I'm halfway through downloading this, so will post a sha256 checksum when it finishes, but I suspect that the pine64 installer just doesn't like something about that file as it is. If I work out why I'll let you know, but it may be worth installing Etcher, and seeing if that will accept it
Right, it finished downloading, but I'm off for the night, so will try the image in the morning. The sha256 for the file as I downloaded it was as follows (put the snippet in a file called ' Android_eMMC_install.img.tar.gz.sha256' and run ' sha256sum -c Android_eMMC_install.img.tar.gz.sha256' to have the file checked (on linux).
Code: b5268987c07e8c69f0a1e81de0ef8ca3a1c46140ca9dc14413ffc6329b7b3872 *Android_eMMC_install.img.tar.gz
Thanks pfeerick!

No problem with sha256 but still tried it... OK
But still I get an CRC error when I flash the file

Well, if the image doesn't work for some reason then just create on from scratch yourself using my instructions (I won't be remaking it, because anyone can do it easily themselves).

I just tried it, and I got the errors from both Etcher and the pine64 Installer, and no wonder... the file upload must be corrupt... as it was unable to pass a CRC test when directly extracted.
But as Luke said... it's not that hard to do. I'll see if I can upload a easier to use initial image, to make it easier to make yourself.

Strange, given that others managed to install it - or so I gathered from this thread ?
Only one person has indicated that it worked... the rest was SuperSU discussion. I think there is something wrong with the upload though, as that was a sha256 sum of the file I downloaded, and if it corrupted on my end, there is no way it would have matched the file epigon has!
If you run a ' sha256sum -b Android_eMMC_install.img.tar.gz.sha256' against the original file, and post the output (and do so in future please when posting large files, particularly images ) we can see if the issue originates from the file, upload or something google is doing.

Easy way out - as Luke pointed out - mount 'n replace!
Did as explained mounted, deleted and renamed - total success!!!
Nice update routine!!! Neat!
I'm now running my Pinebook on SDcard Android 7.1.2 version on eMMc with gmail and all but one : update!
Just love this!!!
Thanx!
