Regarding RemixOS, I think that the issues will be ironed out in a couple of months. They have made major progress with it already (for one it actually boots !)
I want to use it to get rid of my old desktop I am using for a media server. I didn't know if the ubuntu img was working or not since I was having major issues just getting it to boot correctly with video.
