Transferring files from Android phone (via USB) - EreTIk - 02-02-2020 My Android phone is visible in "Devices" (GUI, default Debian MATE) only in PTP transferring mode (only media files). When I switch (on phone) to "File Transfer" mode (mtp - Media Transfer Protocol, if I understand correctly) - the device disappears. What could be the problem? RE: Transferring files from Android phone (via USB) - jiyong - 02-02-2020 Did you try installing go-mtpfs and gmtp? RE: Transferring files from Android phone (via USB) - jiyong - 02-05-2020 I installed libmtp-runtime, connected my Sony XZ2 Compact (Android 10) and it showed up when I connected to the USB3 port (next to USB-C). I didn't even use mtp-detect. https://www.howtoforge.com/tutorial/how-to-connect-your-android-device-on-linux/ RE: Transferring files from Android phone (via USB) - EreTIk - 02-08-2020 (02-05-2020, 03:52 PM)jiyong Wrote: I installed libmtp-runtime, connected my Sony XZ2 Compact (Android 10) and it showed up when I connected to the USB3 port (next to USB-C). Probably the problem is in my device (XPeria XA2 Plus Dual, AOSP build). But with other computers (Ubuntu x86_64 and Windows 10) everything works correctly. RE: Transferring files from Android phone (via USB) - EreTIk - 02-14-2020 There is no problem in Manjaro ARM (XFCE) RE: Transferring files from Android phone (via USB) - MIchael - 02-14-2020 Default Debian and a OnePlus phone is pretty much plug and play https://i.imgur.com/bTvf8ZU.png |
