Bluetooth - how to connect headphones? - jschall - 12-27-2018

I am running Q4OS with the Openbox window manager.

What is the best/easiest way to pair and connect to Bluetooth headphones?

I am not using Q4OS but Manjaro but I had to install these packages:
- bluez-utils
- pulseaudio-bluetooth

And then I could use blueman to set things up.
- blueman

The names of the packages can be different but you could give it a try.

Thank you, Surehand53.

I did that, and paired to my headset, but when I select connect to headset/handsfree/audio sink, nothing happens. No error message.

You could use the tool bluetoothctl, you should have installed that with the other packages.
However it is not the most straight foreward tool too be honest.

I got it working like that but it needed a bit fiddling.
You might get some useful error messages at the very least.
