Does anyone have kodi working? - blahblahblah - 08-24-2018

I just got my rockpro64 and I am trying to get it setup to run kodi and retroarch.  I have it running on the bionic-lxde-rockpro64-0.7.9-1067-arm64.img.xz image.  But I have no sound in kodi.  Sound works in mplayer after removing pulseaudio, but it gives the "your system is too slow" warning when trying to play any 1080p videos.

There is currently a dev working on both.

I got kodi installed a while back but I never actually tested the sound. I'll have another look at it.

I do have RetroPie going on it though, which uses Retroarch. Someone made a Rock64 fork and I just used that for my RockPro64... with a little persuasion. Unfortunately N64 emulation isn't working but most other things do.

@Pitcrawler - just wondering if the build you're using on the rockpro uses X11, wayland, or gbm?

If I go through
Early mainline images for RK3288, RK3328 and RK3399
feedback for test build LibreELEC-RK3328
some of the issues are resolved, aren't they?

furthermore there are images on https://libreelec.tv/downloads_new/rockchip/

They are all resolved ... there are official LibreELEC images for the RK3399 - including the RockPro64. There is Recalbox (EmulationStation+ KODI) for the RPro64, as well as ORA, Batocerra, etc., You can run KODI with correct flags in the desktop builds too.
