I Got A Bit Too Flash Happy (Help) - dorkydev - 11-04-2024 I wasn't paying attention and accidentally installed Factory SailfishOS and overwrote the Tow Boot, I attempted to finish the installation and click the two prompts after clicking "whatever" part 1 and where it asked if I wanted to encrypt phone which I chose no then told me to Reboot after it was done processing. Now all it does when I power on is the green led just flickers a few times and that's it. But when what I want to do is install Ubuntu Touch. Do I need Tow Boot or uBoot RE: I Got A Bit Too Flash Happy (Help) - mikehenson - 11-05-2024 Are you sure you have a PinePhonePro? If you have a PinePhonePro, tow boot should be on the SPI. RE: I Got A Bit Too Flash Happy (Help) - dorkydev - 11-05-2024 I managed to fix it. Yes but the factory image for SailfishOS wipes out TowBoot and installs uBoot: Sailfish with RK2AW ppp-factory-image-20231118.img.gz is the one that installed uBoot on me I grabbed a TowBoot image off the GitHub extracted it then burned the installer image with BelenaEtcher I discovered though no Ubuntu touch has a working camera though so I'm back on Mobian RE: I Got A Bit Too Flash Happy (Help) - SheldonGrant - 11-07-2024 (11-05-2024, 01:40 PM)dorkydev Wrote: I managed to fix it. Congratulations on fixing it, I will save the way you did it so that when necessary I can use it right away without having to search for it. The PinePhone Pro now ships with rk2aw on the SPI. You can overwrite it with Tow-Boot if you wish, but it does not ship that way anymore. |
