Pinephone with KDE plasma - Battery drain when phone is not used - Daniello - 06-29-2024

I have pinephone (KDE plasma mobile)

it drains battery very quickly (6 to 8 hours)
even if I don't use phone and it is in standby mode
display is turning off after 1 minute as set in power settings

but I think that some system process is not turning of when phone is not used
and it drains power from battery.
How can i check which program is still runing
discharging battery ? is there any program for checking system activity ?

Your power settings are to only turn the display off, not suspend? Then it is not surprising that the battery is drained very quickly. Make sure you keep suspend enabled (it is enabled by default) if you want lower power consumption in standby.

Also, whatever you do, it is always a good idea to leave the PinePhone plugged in overnight and only plug it out when you actually leave home. (Yes, it probably makes the battery fail faster. But we are still taking about years, and a compatible replacement battery is cheap and widely available.)
