pinephone 3 ideas - aular - 11-29-2023 So i was thinking about it a little and since i know pine has not announced a new phone, i thought i could include a wish list for the nect phone, here it goes without breaking the bank. 1. 12 nano meter processor, to help power management of course maybe especially. 2. esim for travel. replace sim card alot and put it in new spot or do away with the sim card altogether. 3. lcd display 1080p 4. 6.1 bezzel less display 5. maybe some dust and water resistance like galaxy s5 with galaxy s7 waterproofing plugs 6. sharper camera, maybe take from iphone x camera 7. 5g and maybe possible satalite bands, even of not possible to be used right now, haave for later Thanks. Satalite bands are for what other companies are doing right now. Apple and Samsung current and futute plans. RE: pinephone 3 ideas - wannaphong - 11-07-2024 I want more ram. RAM 8GB+ is ok. Probably means the L-band Globalstar simplex rx-only service used by Apple(who bought 20% of GSAT) and SPOT gadgets for SOS and SMS-like sending for hikers. AAPL did some cellular modem baseband hacks for iphone17 and beyond, not so difficult when you can buy the 'secret' information. <edit> for those who want to add a little satcom module to your pinephone it is about $100 https://www.globalstar.com/en-us/products/iot/stx3 postage stamp sized transmitter, would need to 3D print an add on bulge to your battery cover. RE: pinephone 3 ideas - KC9UDX - 11-08-2024 FWIW, you can have a cheap phone that you can disassemble, which is also water resistant. All the original water resistant ("waterproof" for some depth) phones were disasemmbleable for battery and sim card replacement. |
