firmware update 1.11 > 1.13 - aletn - 08-25-2023
I have tried to update my sealed PineTime from 1.11 to 1.12 and 1.13, using nRF Connect.
I followed the istructions here:

No luck, though. The watch still runs on 1.11.
Am I doing anything wrong? Thanks.

When you flash the firmware for 1.12, you need to go to the "firmware" settings menu, and click "validate". Otherwise it will reset to the previous firmware if it resets.

here are some handy guidelines to upgrade the firmware from an Android phone.
1. get the asset from repo : https://github.com/InfiniTimeOrg/InfiniTime/releases
2. download and install gadgetbridge on a smartphone : https://f-droid.org/packages/nodomain.freeyourgadget.gadgetbridge/ (or use googleplay)
3. Pair the pinetime with your smartphone
4. Select file installer in your device menu and search for the zip of step 1
Better have both your smartphone and the watch properly charged before proceeding.
