Upgrade Fedora from 37 to 38? - acruhl - 07-09-2023

Does anyone know if it's possible to upgrade Fedora from 37 to 38? I'm running Fedora 37 on an SD card. It's slow but it works.

The built in software manager GUI gives me an error when it tries to upgrade.

I'll read up on the CLI method. I'm asking in case it isn't possible in this particular case or if someone has experience with it.

Thanks!

i'd upgraded my SD install of Fedora from 33 to 34 to 35 to rawhide over the years without any issue. you should be good performing that through CLI.

While using the CLI to upgrade, I found "the problem". Some of the 3rd party software repositories I added in the GUI were giving errors, "not found" and such. When I disabled those repositories, the upgrade with the GUI worked.

Before I did this, the GUI was failing silently.

Not super good GUI programming then.

Fedora 38 feels noticeably slower than 37 did.
