Keeping Openhab current - socken23 - 07-24-2016

Hi all

Since the current image comes with the Beta version, does anyone know how to keep the installation up to date?
How can I install the latest nightly builds?

It seems that there are different ways of achieving this that depend on how you installed openhab.
So I guess the question is also, how was openhab installed on the official image? Manually? Via apt?

Thanks

This image predates the debian images, so it was installed manually and registered as a system service like described here: http://docs.openhab.org/installation/index.html#raspberry-pi

So you can simply delete the existing installation and either unzip a snapshot version in the same location or switch to the apt installation.

Great, thanks a lot for the details. I'll probably switch to the apt installation then.

Stopped openhab, moved the folder /opt/openhab and installed with apt again. Worked like a charm. Thanks again!
