RE: DietPi OS for Pinebook Pro - ScarFez - 11-19-2021

nvme doesn't work and the graphics are really slow (X11)

Also seems like some of the patches are not included for the kernel ( 5.15.2-rockchip64 #trunk.61 SMP PREEMPT Wed Nov 17 08:49:40 UTC 2021 aarch64 GNU/Linux)

RE: DietPi OS for Pinebook Pro - MichaIng - 11-19-2021

Thanks for your report.

The image should ship with Linux 5.10 (stable) and not 5.15 (testing), so you should test it with the shipped Linux 5.10 when reporting issues.

X11 is driven via KMS (modesetting DDX driver) and Mesa 20.3.5 from regular Debian Bullseye repository, which should give decent performance, though it depends on the actual application. I don't have a Pinebook Pro, but another RK3399 SBC where desktops in general, browsers and Kodi work quite well. How did you benchmark and what did you compare with?
