debian fresh install 5/14 - mkyb14 - 05-15-2016

fresh install, everything was fine installing SSH and VNC4Server
Reboot

Now it just hangs after the initial linux boot on the second black screen a the line for sunni-gmac 1c30000.eth eth0:  .......

hoping to not have to wipe the SD and start over, but after reading a few posts, I'm wondering if someone with more knowledge might be able to shed some light?

I'm not sure if this will help, but I read on another thread that the hang might be due to not having an Ethernet cable plugged in--the OS is waiting for the lengthy timeout it has if there's no connection. If one waits long enough it should resume loading.

How long did you wait. It can take like 5 minutes to boot as it waits for Ethernet. Your best bet is to plug in an Ethernet cable. As an FYI, used the Debian image just this morning and it went smoothly, but my first boot had the Ethernet cable plugged in.

nope, nothing has worked. plugged in or not, I've let it sit for more than a day and it will not finishing booting. At this point i'll re-install again, but if this happens again there's got to be some support from the pine crew for what we are seeing with Eth0 issues in the forums.

Thanks guys.
