Questions - xinyiman - 06-30-2020
Hello everyone, I have some questions.
1. I know that the camera is not yet supported by ubports. Do you know when this will happen?
2. I am unable to receive files via bluetooth even if the connection between the two devices is successful
3. Can't change APN settings. Is there a guide on how to do it? Thanks so much.
4. I can't activate the speaker during calls. How you do it?

1. I don't know exactly. But the camera driver isn't yet completed. my rough estimate: maybe working within the next two month. I wouldn't expect too much thought.
2. I really never use blutooth. how is filetransfer supposed to work?
3. I heard people had problems with that. try rebooting I between.
4. isn't working from gui atm. you would manually route audio to speaker via alsamixer or similar. haven't tried that yet.

Thanks for the replies. In fact it means that at least on these points UBPorts is not mature. I'll wait. Transferring files with bluetooth works like this. The two devices trigger a connection, when the connection is active one of the two sends a file to the other. The device receiving the file should ask for confirmation if it wants to receive the file. The confirmation request does not appear and therefore whoever tries to send the file times out in response and the file is not sent.

This already works on Mobian, so it should "work soon" on UBPorts as well.

Rob Braxman really seems to know his stuff he is a real professional
BUT I have had the most success using Mobian myself.
When I first got my Brave Heart early this year, only UBPorts worked on it, for me.
But as they kept updating their OS it quit working on my phone..?
I have on occasion tried it again and it has not worked 'out of the box'
> obviously many others have made it work for them ...
I prefer to use operating systems that just work 'out of the box'

Wow! based on your post I just installed Mobian on the phone and man! it feels like the desktop.
The camera show images, not perfect but better than a black screen
Some times is laggy, wonder this is also because it is in the microSD, and I should transfer into the phone memory?
Love having firefox, activity monitor, and the Debian colors...
