RE: Android 7.1 (PINE A64(+)) - mcrognale - 10-27-2017 Thanks very much. That did work. 2 issues remain. The touch screen does not work and the screen is very dim. nearly unreadable. I can plug in a mouse and use the functions that way but it is awkward. I noticed that at the top of the code you gave me is the word onsole. Should that be console? Thanks again. RE: Android 7.1 (PINE A64(+)) - mcrognale - 10-27-2017 I was able to get the system up and running on the experiment device but as I said the display was too dim and the touch screen does not work. I used a mouse to get in to the system settings and tried to adjust the display brightness with no change. Even full bright made no difference. As a test, I have another Pine64 2GB in a playbox, I pulled the chip from that and put it in the one that I have been working with. It came up and ran perfectly, bright and the touch screen works. So I know that it is not the touch screen on the experiment device. I tried two different images 7.1.0.3.5 and 0.3.10, carefully comparing the envtxt to the list you provided editing the .3.5 and 3.10 to match. Neither one works worth a damn. Screen is too dim and the touch portion does not work. So I'm going to stay with 5.1.1 until the next version come out. RE: Android 7.1 (PINE A64(+)) - Luke - 10-27-2017 All I can say is that I've been running ayufan's A6 without issues with the LCD. RE: Android 7.1 (PINE A64(+)) - mcrognale - 10-27-2017 Thanks, I was just about to download and flash that image. I've been trying to do the 7.1.x.x with the results that I have been whining about. LOL. Hopefully the 6.0 will be better. God bless you sir and thanks for your patience and your help. A6 is much snappier and has great for me, so I expect it will work just as well for you. A 7.1 has been very sluggish for me; close to unusable from running from a SD card (much better from eMMC on the PB and Pine64-LTS). RE: Android 7.1 (PINE A64(+)) - adk_mechetech - 11-26-2017 So I am just revisiting my pine64 after getting it from the kickstarter and subsequently putting it on the shelf. I decided to try and get the newest version of android available to run some software I would like to try.... I downloaded the image available from the pine64 site and have tried loading it onto my SD card multiple times. Every time it boots to a white screen after flashing a couple times and just sits there. I had the bright idea to disconnect the WIFI/BT module and low and behold, it boots! I powered it down and re-installed the wifi module, but it will not boot now. Is wifi not supported on 7.1? RE: Android 7.1 (PINE A64(+)) - dkryder - 11-27-2017 well the clues i get are that your power supply is not able to power up wifi when it tries to start up during boot. maybe try a different power supply. and make sure you have the android build for pine64 and not one of the other boards. RE: Android 7.1 (PINE A64(+)) - adk_mechetech - 11-27-2017 I have tried with 3 different power supplies capable of 2.5+A, one of which was supplied with the pine64. I also used a high capacity battery bank capable of 3A and all with multiple USB cables. I confirmed the image was correct, at least as far as I can figure. I also tried using the pine installer tool to load 6.0 with the same results. I currently have Linux loaded and running fine, but the software I want is Android. RE: Android 7.1 (PINE A64(+)) - licux - 01-01-2018 Hi all. I want to make sdcard android image. So I did "sdcard_image" commnad to make image file after compiling android source code. (According to github "https://github.com/ayufan-pine64/local_manifests/tree/nougat-7.1") But an error happened and it did not completed. Error message is below. Quote:Partition table... Do you know why this error happened? RE: Android 7.1 (PINE A64(+)) - dkryder - 01-02-2018 did you have an sd card that was formatted FAT in the sd card slot? |
