RE: Android 6.0 Tablet and TV (release candidate, maintained) - wernerhp - 12-03-2016 Anyone else not getting sound over HDMI? Works fine over 3.5mm stereo jack and bluetooth. 2GB variant. RE: Android 6.0 Tablet and TV (release candidate, maintained) - ayufan - 12-03-2016 wernerhp: works for me RE: Android 6.0 Tablet and TV (release candidate, maintained) - VAAviator - 12-03-2016 Me too. Sound through HDMI. Youtube, PLEX, SlingTV. RE: Android 6.0 Tablet and TV (release candidate, maintained) - ayufan - 12-04-2016 VAAviator: you mean it works? RE: Android 6.0 Tablet and TV (release candidate, maintained) - chavaone - 12-04-2016 Sound works for me too. Google Cast is supposed to work? I try to cast some YouTube video from my phone and the phone throws an error while trying to connect the Pine. On the other hand, when you release a new version, ss there any way to get thouse changes without burning the new image into the sd card and losing the data stored in it? :/ RE: Android 6.0 Tablet and TV (release candidate, maintained) - ayufan - 12-04-2016 It is not very easy as of now: http://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=2878&pid=22984#pid22984 No, Google Cast will not work as I don't have and will not have encryption certificates. You can only cast YouTube from Desktop Chrome, this is the only thing that works. RE: Android 6.0 Tablet and TV (release candidate, maintained) - ayufan - 12-04-2016 Anyone opt-in to try ATV fix: https://github.com/ayufan-pine64/android-6.0/releases/tag/0.3.1? RE: Android 6.0 Tablet and TV (release candidate, maintained) - Bluphire - 12-05-2016 After burning, I popped the SD card into the pine and powered it on via micro usb with HDMI connected. After a couple of flashes on the TV, the red LED goes out on the board. Any ideas why? I opened the device "BOOT" from desktop (OSx) and opened "uEnv.txt" and erased "# " from "# pine64_lcd=on" Doing this enables both HDMI and LCD. Is this supposed to work that way? Matt ETA: I used "android-6.0-pine-a64-tv-v0.3.1-r15.img.gz" RE: Android 6.0 Tablet and TV (release candidate, maintained) - ayufan - 12-05-2016 Bluphire: mine is booting just fine. Android TV 0.3.1. People do say that enabling lcd in fact enables two displays (LCD and HDMI), but I never did check that. If it matters, all I did was download the IMG and download Etcher. Opened Etcher and selected the IMG and burned. I do not understand what all that "compiling" is about. Is it just another way to burn? Or is it a process that needs to be completed before using Etcher? Matt ETA: Just re-burned 5.1.1 with the same method I described above (downloaded IMG, burned with Etcher). HDMI works just fine. ETA: Just tried burning android-6.0-pine-a64-v0.3.1-r15.img.gz the same way as above with failed results, no HDMI display. |
