The two holes nearest the edge of the board are indeed the contacts for the switch, and the two bigger wider spaced holes further back are the supports for side mount tactile switch supplied. And if you loose the one supplied, you can always buy them from ebay - $5.40 for 55 - so plenty to spare! Or even better... 10 for US $1.19... a more reasonable number! Why not have the button send a shutdown signal to the OS, like any other modern OS? Just about every computer will send a soft shutdown signal (to the OS) on a short press and a hard shutdown signal on a long press. Just FYI: these are 404 for me. "Not Found." I ordered the 2G board, and the site said two weeks lead time, but it came in two days. Guess the two week lead is for out of stock kit. Nice! Now for the hard part.... clearing my work space, which has for too long been permanent, temporary storage, for stuff I do not need, but is too good to toss. This might take a while... David |
