@tomm87 - "Does anyone know what to make of this implausible change in delivery date?   Are other people getting these too-good-to-be-true changes?"

My experience in the past with with HK or China shipments via DHL is that they tend towards really conservative estimates. My first shipment notification was Monday the 15th, with estimated delivery the following Monday the 22nd. This morning tracking shows my PBP is in Cincinnati OH and has cleared customs, and should be at my local DHL hub today (I'm in the Atlanta metro area). That means I'll likely get it tomorrow.

Bills2002 -- for what it's worth, I should've said I bought a Pinebook Pro, not a Pinephone. And hello from Whatcom County!

This is what makes me a bit sad about all the people who are "crying" about the extra shipping cost they have to pay for DHL. Like you pay 30USD in total for one day shipping and pine64 guys are probably making a loss on these shipments - and many people are still mad about it. Smile

I think it's fair to be frustrated by the situation and that's what people are dealing with. I don't think people are mad at the Pine team. I could be wrong though.

Sure, I agree it's very fair to be frustrated by the situation. I am as well.

Just wanted to make people aware that it's not fun for the pine64 team either and they are doing their best and probably doing the shipping etc. at a cost or even losing a bit of money.

Yeah, DHL seems to be the one carrier I've encountered that delivered BEFORE the date they said. Mine cleared customs on a Wednesday night, hit our local hub early Thursday morning, and was in my hands by 6 that afternoon.

Hey Everyone,
When do you think I should expect to be notified of delivery if I ordered a PBP at the end of May? I was looking for information and according to https://www.pine64.org/shipping/ shipping had started right as I ordered.
Did anyone from that batch receive their PBP already?
Did you get a shipping notice by email?

Since the shipping upgrade option wasn't announced via email, my husband and I both just missed it. Is there going to be another round of shipping upgrades? We're willing to pay the extra fee.

I ordered a Pine Phone on the 2nd of April and I've had no communication since the transaction receipt. Should I have heard something by now??

I second this. I'm displeased how Pine shipped them before the initial cutoff date of the 22nd. Does Ascendia shipping to the United States even have an eta?

Just got my Pinebook Pro in, multiple days ahead of schedule!  The only thing that has so far upset me with it is that it is installed with Debian/MATE, when I was really excited for pre-installed KDE Manjaro.
