No, you will need to reflash.

RE: PureOS on Pinephone - clover - 03-26-2020

I'm happy to announce a new version of PureOS for pinephone is available.
Features:
- new modemmanager (with frozen updates) compiled specifically for pinephone with updated udev rules
- calls/sms resume the phone from s2idle out of box due to device binary tree updates and an automatic AT command
- thanks to new udev rules, modemmanager now quick-detects the modem in time for calls to be answered from s2idle!
- phoshfix (press volup 3 times + voldown 3 times within 3 seconds) manually puts phone into s2idle

Known Issues:
- Resume from s2idle occasionally breaks phosh; the workaround is phoshfix + power key press to resume effectively.
- Modem quick detection only works for 1 or 2 calls from suspend. problem doesn't persist reboots, so workaround is to reboot your phone after finishing your phone call.

Thanks goes to mozzwald for his help with this.

RE: PureOS on Pinephone - someGermanGuy - 03-27-2020

thanks, should this thread also be used for bugreports/problems?
because at the moment, i switched the terminal and i dont know how to get the normal one back

i wanted to visit youtube.com with the browser.
unfortunately, i mis-typed and tried to click the "back" icon in the german layout which just printed a "s", so i switched to terminal layout and was able to delete.
then i thought "hey what happens in terminal when i press this" and now i only see "F1..F12 Esc Tab Del PgUp" etc. and no way to get back to the normal terminal keyboard layout with a-z 0-9 etc.

Press the "ABC" button (lower left corner) on the keyboard to return to regular letters

RE: PureOS on Pinephone - someGermanGuy - 03-27-2020

there was no "ABC" button on the keyboard

When using the terminal keyboard and you are on the Function key page it looks like the following image. The ABC button in the lower left returns you to the normal letter keyboard. If the ABC button was missing, something was wrong and you would need to provide more info or a photo of the issue might help.

when i am able to reproduce, i will make a picture

Battery life depends on your use, screen on being the worst for battery life. After 5 minutes with screen off, the phone should enter s2idle sleep (not deep sleep) which helps with battery life.

RE: PureOS on Pinephone - someGermanGuy - 03-28-2020

the "use" was: the telephone was turned off, lie on the couch table.
i dont know what goes behind the scenes, but i had no application installed.
