It's work for me.
I think instead of :
Device node (/dev/sdx): mmcblk0
it should be:
Device node (/dev/sdx): /dev/mmcblk0

For those, who has this problem but do not use mmc* as the SD card name, but SDB, please change your flash-it script:

Totally worked for me, now I have a lightning fast Sailfish OS. Networking does not seems to work yet, but OS itself is working.

Is there any reason why a script is required and an actual easy to flash img isn't just hosted somewhere? Those of us on mac or windows machines are basically out of luck.
