There is no Remix OS for the RPro64... Are you sure you're flashing the correct images ? I downloaded the Rock64 image and tried it. Would not boot. I didn't expect it to work but worth a try. Linux wont either. Not sure what is wrong there the Etcher says error, I will try it again tomorrow. SD Card is Samsung 32Gb EVO. Might try Debian. I know it's not Pine's fault and they are not responsible for OS releases but hey, Im trying and it never hurts to try. So Next is Debian. Anyone else have an OS they want me to try? RE: Android 8.1 Released - JackChen - 10-12-2018 I saw the Android 8.1 image there in software release wiki. But the SDK portion just is 7.1 there. May I know about where or when to get the Android 8.x version SDK?? Thanks a lot. Sincerely. Jack Chen. It takes a long time for the first boot and there's absolutely no indication of progress. But after waiting maybe a hour (maybe less, I just left the board to run) the board boots. I've used a 16GB SD card, it could be that 32GB card takes twice as much. I've used this image: http://files.pine64.org/os/ROCKPro64/android/ROCKPro64_20180920_stock_android_7.1_sdboot.img.gz (md5 CE39642A379B357BB3E4BC80ACA2E0CE) and just dd'ed it to the card without any extra tools. |
