You are correct, HDR mode should be activated if your TV supports it and if not the HDR2SDR feature should do color conversion when trying to play HDR content.

Nothing new yet, it is the next thing on my list as I will be putting more focus on mainline once the code in this test build has been merged to Kodi+LibreELEC. Will backport mainline progress to 4.4 kernel once HD-audio works for mainline.

Thanks!

RE: Kwiboo's LibreELEC 18 test images - gigagames - 07-12-2018

@Kwiboo i have some problems with the build from 01-Jul-2018
I have a UHD 4K (3840*1600) video that i want to watch on my 1080p tv.

If i start the Video with Hardware Acceleration (Direct to Plane) -> I just got a green video. On youtube i just get a black video and the videos buffering every 5-10seconds.
If i start the Video with Hardware Acceleration (EGL) -> I just got a blackscreen on the 4k video (720 / 1080p videos working fine| youtube works fine too)
If i start the Video without Hardware Acceleration -> it "plays" (100% CPU usage -> not viewable)

Is there a way to get the movie to work :?

Edit:
Used Handbrake to convert it to H.264 1080p -> Works fine
Then Convertet one Chapter to H.265 (just for testing) 1080p -> Works fine too.
So the codec isent/wasent the problem

So the problem looks like to be the "4k" and the needed down skaling? (Cant test if 4k works on a 4k tv doint have one)
