RE: openHAB Packaging for the Pine64 - ewickham - 07-31-2016 I was supposed to get a SD card with OpenHAB pre-installed, but got an Android release instead. I'm comfortable with installing a base OS, then Docker and then using an OpenHAB container. I just want to make sure I get the right base image, since my current network layout is wireless - so I can't really use a headless image. Do I just grab the Debian image in the downloads section, and then add Docker? I have an Ubuntu (Mate GUI) - can I use that or are the libraries too different? Or should I just request the pre-installed OpenHAB SD? Sorry on teh shipping facility ship you the SD card with Android release. For OpenHAB build, you can download from http://wiki.pine64.org/index.php/Pine_A64_openHAB_Release and dd to the microSD card. I'm still a little uncertain about what to expect once I download the image to the SD card and reboot the Pine64. Will I see a console login via HDMI? Maybe on an LCD display via the DSI connector? As I mentioned previously, my current work area for the Pine64 forces me to use wireless - and since mine is secured, I have to provide authentication at some point. Will I need to use a wired ethernet connection first in order to configure the wireless? I presume once connectivity is configured I can ssh to the server, yes? I want to try the latest image but when I go to the link I am directed to an image for pine64_openhab_20150521_8GB.zip. Is that really from May 21st, 2015 or is it the latest? My guess that he tested on this build. RE: openHAB Packaging for the Pine64 - kai - 09-04-2016 (08-06-2016, 01:20 PM)B34N Wrote: I saw that Kai tweeted that he had success with Z-wave. I also tweeted "the next SD card image will support it", which doesn't mean the "current" supports it! I plan to provide the next one for beta4 somewhen by the end of September. The new openHAB beta 4 already upload to Pine64 wiki site, this one supports ZWave. RE: openHAB Packaging for the Pine64 - BatoXan - 02-21-2017 @kai You should mention openHABian's support for the Pine A64 in the first posting here. http://docs.openhab.org/installation/openhabian.html#pine-a64 |
