RE: Boot order - IHaveALinuxPhone - 02-14-2022 I don’t really understand the boot system but I have one knowledge tidbit to contribute. I lost track of things and let my PPP battery go to zero. I plugged it in and it booted to Arch which is on my SD card. I did nothing knowingly to my original default OS. I don't know why this would be. After I booted into ArchLinux Phosh, I went ahead and wiped out the eMMC as per the wiki, so I can't test that anymore. But, it DID boot to SD without pushing any buttons at all. +1 - I never pressed RE, and have run five different OSes from my SD card in the two days I've had my PPP. Happily booting back into the default OS just by removing the SD card. Uh, it is documented? https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/PinePhone_Pro#Software RE: Boot order - kaida - 03-11-2022 Yeah , the reason I could answer is because I've read the docs.. |
