RE: Are you OK with the size of the PinePhone? - pljanson - 12-15-2021 I think the size is fine, smaller harder to read, bigger hard to carry. I wouldn't mind thicker. Would appreciate a higher resolution, but proper scaling in the SW should tackle my problems. I like the idea to use as PC, it would be(come) usable with a USB dongle, but (once the keyboard arrives) it is also usable on the road for simple tasks. I like the idea of getting an additional phablet size but I think having a 10" ereader is more important than a tablet of phablet. Although I would like to connect a keyboard (like the pinetab) to the ereader, but for now BT has to do just fine. For what use is the resolution too low? To make out individual pixels I have to bring the screen really close to my eyes. I don't think such a small screen would benefit much from a higher resolution (not to speak of the energy tradeoff). I had to replace my 8 year old Samsung flip phone last month because it was 3G, and after January, I would need 4G. Found this Coolpad flip phone thing that is so so. It is 4G and will do WiFi calling with Boost, (aka T-Mobile). It even has a SDXC card slot inside that allows you to listen to music and such. Their is a camera. The interface is a noticeably slow, but usable for casual use. Any extensive use I might be more annoyed with the sluggishness. It's bigger in all directions than my old Samsung flip phone. Plus, it's battery needs charging every few days, (compared to at least a week to the Samsung flip phone). But, it will fit in most pockets just fine, with the primary screen and keyboard protected when closed. Don't know if it has VoLTE... not sure how that is defined. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GM7DRXM Not sure I would suggest / recommend this Coolpad phone. It works for me, for the moment. Now that you all think I am a Luddite, I do have an Android phone. Its just that without a land line, I don't have a backup. Thus, 2 cell-phones.
