If it's not critical, I'd wait for the batch of updates that are almost ready. I see several fixes coming along that include crust, camera, VoLTE that are not quite ready. Crust not waking the modem would prevent you from making calls/texts.

Great thing about testing from the SD cards !
I have a handful, if I want to save one release in particular, and try a new "nightly release" no problem.

I still have the Brave Heart original 'PMOS test' operating system on my eMMC.

By running from the SD card I am much less likely to brick my phone.

Except of course for the dangers of firmware causing a hardware problem....

You can not "brick" your phone, not in the sense that's possible with Android devices anyway. If your eMMC installation becomes unbootable, so what? You can still just plug an sdcard in and boot from there to overwrite eMMC with something working again.

Brand New: PMOS Community Edition phones - bcnaz - 09-02-2020

Just charged up one of my new PMOS Convergence phones and 'loaded' the factory image.

Fairly simple, I went with non-encrypted, for now at least, **  the only thing I save on my phone is my contact book.

It does not have many apps installed by default, and the onboard software 'store' has very little to offer.

On the plus side what is there all seems to 'work'   ...   and NO Bloatware or unwanted apps.

Single frustrating point at the moment is that the Bluetooth turns itself on with every boot or reboot.

Update :
So I pulled the sim card from my Brave Heart phone and tried it in this phone,

On the first call out, it did ring the other phone but I heard no ringtone on this handset and there was no voice/audio in ether direction.

I tried calling in and this handset did 'ring', but again no sound.

On my second call out from this handset I did hear the ringtone on this handset, and there was 2 way voice/audio this time, but no speaker phone.

So voice calls appear to be working ok now,  and sms/text is working in both directions.

I tried data, it did connect, but my sim card needs to be replaced, as I do connect to the internet,
but I get AT&T message stating I need to add data to my account.

Note :
When I was doing settings under regions & Languages it only had  "English (United Kingdom)"  there was no  "English (United States)"  ?
