I am having trouble with what appears to be a defective premium aluminum case. Once the Rock64 is mounted, the case top does not line up with the "closing" screws. Has anyone else had this issue?

I've had the problem that the case doesn't close due to the board being pulled too low by fully tightened screws, and then not clearing the cutout holes for the HDMI, power and 3.5mm. Try to loosen the screws on that side such that they are only held in but the board has some wiggle room. Then when mounting the top cover, ensure the cutouts for those three ports clear the board correctly. Basically, leave it a bit floppy on one side.

Thank you for this, and I wish that were the same exact problem I was having, but I am having a different issue. Also, the Pine64 support staff is having trouble understanding the problem, even with photos and videos. Their last instructions to me with this defective case would actually snap my Rock64 PCB board, so I refuse to do that and they refuse to send a non-defective case. Since Pine64 support is not being co-operative, I now am asking the community for help. Thanks.

The image of the problem is too large for the forum, but I was able to compress it, so it is attached in the next post.

I was able to compress the image and here is the issue I'm having:
The board not being mounted in the centre is completely fine, it does not interfere with the case closing. Make sure you put the lid the right way around

Some more things to note:

1. pull out the plastic light guide before trying to insert the rock64
2. pull out the rubber plug before trying to insert the rock64
3. when closing, try not pushing the top straight down, but coming in from the side with the ports and levering it in.

Here's some more pictures. On this, note how the mounting posts are spaced exactly like yours. This isn't the issue.

on this one, note how the HDMI and 3.5mm socket are poking through the case. This is still what I suspect your issue is; it'll seem like the board is mounted too far off to one side, but actually, it's that it's not clearing the holes.
