Actually, many many vendors use the same case design because the injection plastic design process is so expensive;  it can cost as much as $100K dollars for each new opening in a particular case design;  so is extremely expensive as development cost,  and case designs are often shared.  This particular case design has been used by several vendors.

There is a reason for that! Wink If you look a bit closer, you'll realise that that 'our' TL Lim is the founder of Cloud Media, and YC Yeoh is the general manager. Hence there will be a lot of R&D resources shared between the two companies, which are in essense just two different brands used for the different target markets. pine64 does the more developer-y stuff, where as cloud media is the more end user-y stuff.
