Running a 2GB Pine A64 with volumio.  The RCA jacks work dandy.  The optical out has some pop jitter something.  Have tried multiple sources and outputs and it's consistently there.  Search of the forums didn't show anyone else with these issues - or maybe that my forum search skills aren't so good.  ;-)

Any thoughts or advice would be nice.  This isn't a big deal but wanted to consult the community.

just bought this sound POT (https://www.pine64.org/?product=pine64-s...-pot-board) and unfortunatelly I am unable to detect. Tried Volumio (latest and the 2017-05-11 image), Tried Base Xenial image without any success.

Apparently, the board has ES9023 chip, but I don't even know whether the board was detected or not. aplay -l does not list it, any other commands how to detect it, are unknown to me.

If you have any directions, where to look at, please let me know. I am trying to build simple music box (like Volumio) with this hardware.

I've installed the Ubuntu 16.04 Longsleep image and then I use the Z-wave EU pot module on euler bus.
Installing openzwave library (at openzwave) and node wrapper (at  openzwave-shared).
It works correctly with the ZW090 Z-Stick Gen5 EU USB device (accessed on /dev/ttyACM0)
but with official pine64 z-wave pot module, on discovery, I don't found any device (the access setting in on the correct /dev/ttyS2).
The pine64 module is well found on /dev/ttyS2 interface but the at scan complete it show 0 device.

I would like to switch from rpi3 to pine64 on my pet project, and this is a crucial part. As I've seen the GPIO layout is the same.

I had an old laptop laying around and I decided to rip it open and get the little cpu fan out so I could possibly hook it up to the Pine64 board. NOw.....there doesn't seem to be a hook up for this kind of connection. I was wondering if there was a possibility for me to just take the connector off and connect the wires up somewhere to get the fan going.

The reason I want a fan in there is because the bloody thing seems to over heat a little and freeze. Right now I have it outside of the case and it hasn't froze yet, so that indicates to me, that it's been an over heating issue for the processor. Please refer to the picture below and tell me how I could go about connecting this little fan. It actually had a little heat sinc hooked up to it as well...I suppose I could put the heat sinc on as well if I wanted to improve cooling even more.
