1. It looks like the latest image for Android 9, SD card is from 2019. Have there been no updates since then? Or has support dropped off?

2. Is there any reason to choose an older version (7, 8)?

It looks like I have to do some work to install the Playstore, whichever version I use. I don't normally use Android but there are a few apps I would like to try. I might be able to set something up with a Linux distribution but it would probably be a lot more work than installing a couple of apps.

I've tried several images (I'm booting from the SD card) but none give any output on the hdmi port. I noticed the images say for 7" LCD is this why? If so how can I modify the image or code to output to the hdmi port? Also if there's a link for the Android 9 source used on the PRO do anyone have a link.
Without running it and clicking on Speaker Toggle there is no audio from audio jack. It seems that the headphones/line out cable is not detected.
So, how do I enable line out by default after boot? Now I have to run that Speaker Toggle after each boot when I want to use line out.

there must be some asound/alsa config some somewhere, but I was unable to find it.
I found this app better for that

Howdy All,

I've newly acquired a RockPro64 and an LCD Touch display, this is the first time that I have ever used such devices, so everything is new for me. After discovering that the original eMMC chip I purchased was faulty I'm now having issues with the LCD display.

The display works fine except that the image displayed is reversed, or flipped along the vertical axis? It's difficult to describe but it looks like I'm looking at the image via a mirror.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? If so, what I am I doing wrong?

I'm using Etcher to flash a 32gb eMMC chip via a USB adaptor on my Mac running OSX 10.14.6. The image I am using is:

ROCKPro64_dd_20200804_stock_android_9.0_emmcboot-32GB.img

The SBC I have is a RockPro64 v2.1 2018-07-02.

I'm not sure what other details may help troubleshoot this issue, I've run out of ideas...

Is it possible there is some configuration option needed to enable GPU / Hardware Acceleration? I can't seem to find nearly anything on the situation. I will try alternative (older) Netflix versions to see if it helps, but I suspect not....

I get a CRC error when extrating the android 9 SDK. MD5sum fits the one from the website.
Kind regards
