May Community Update thread - Dendrocalamus64 - 05-18-2020

Can you give us some more background on why you decided not to support cryptocurrency payments at this time?

Can we please let it rest? "No"? ... OK

So apparently BitPay are the devil [edit] according to our user-base (hey, we didn't know), which means now we need to find a solution that works for us and end-users alike. This isn't quite as simple as it may seem because of reasons I will not get into. In any case, we're currently talking to a few reputable processors - all of whom are very friendly and willing to help us work around a number of limitations.

I'm not saying it will happen -  just that we're exploring our options and being more cautious this time around.

Thanks. I hadn't heard of any of that, so it is useful to have it in the forum, and in the community updates, in addition to wherever it's been.

Have you been watching too much Chris Titus Tech... that sounds suspiciously like his videos on how 'Ubuntu is the devil'! Big Grin Big Grin

Thanks for the response! I would love to help you. I specialize in helping folks accept bitcoin payments.

I'd love to discuss further your reservations about bitpay, and which other processors you are considering.

Most importantly, I'm hoping there will be a lightning option, as this is the future of bitcoin payment processing.

Loving the community that I've come across here. Keep up the great work!
