No Images work except one. - psiie - 05-04-2020 For some reason I cannot get any images to boot from the microSD. I have tried different brand microSDs and different images. None work. With the exception of DietPi. This image is the only image that seems to boot?? Using the Official Pine64 Installer Software on OSX. Ideas? And this is for the Pinebook, not the Pinebook Pro? Perhaps it's the 1080p model? I haven't used the Pine64 Installer in ages, and I'm don't think the database file it uses for the images is kept up to date as much as it used to be, (i.e. the Armbian Desktop version is in conflict with the wiki, as well as the actual latest version)... It would probaly be better to go to say the Armbian site directly and getting the latest Bionic (ubuntu) or Buster (debian) image, and then using that (you can still use the installer tool if you want... the very bottom entry in the list is to use an already downloaded file). There's also a much newer of ayufan's ubuntu mate image, although there haven't been any real updates to that since 2018. And there's also the Manjaro images for the pinebook if you want to go with a rolling release distro. RE: No Images work except one. - psiie - 05-13-2020 Well dont I have egg on my face. lol. Turns out the Pinebook1080p images work great! I guess I forgot which model I had XD. LOL. Thanks pfeerick RE: No Images work except one. - pfeerick - 05-15-2020 (05-13-2020, 10:23 AM)psiie Wrote: Well dont I have egg on my face. lol. Well, I won't mention the seven nodes of the clusterboard that I just flashed the wrong flavour of linux onto, ran through inital setup, then realised I'll have to wipe them all (debian rather than ubuntu flavour of Armbian)... At least it's easy to flash more than one microSD at once using Etcher! |
