First boot boots to "A64 android" - p1trson - 02-17-2020

Hello all,

today I finally received my device. I was surprised that it directly boots to Android (Logo during boot says A64 Android 7.0) instead of factorytest I've seen for other people, e.g: https://medium.com/@fviard/my-first-steps-with-the-brave-heart-pinephone-ef0b7277b60a

The whole android is in chinese language so I'd tinker around on how to change the language. Does anybody know why's that and how can I run factorytest ?

Cheers

You can download the postmarketOS image with factory test (and not only) from here: https://images.postmarketos.org/pinephone/

Hi, that I know, but what I'm curious about is whether that's normal ? Official statement was that there'll be no OS just the factory test.

Why do I have android pre-installed there then ?
Did anybody experienced that as well ?

Had same issue: https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=8833&pid=59763#pid59763

Thankfully, the factory test image worked as expected with tests passing. There is a button in factory test to flash to eMMC and, perhaps, that step was skipped?
