RockPro64 + Kodi + POT - rickyx - 02-03-2020

Hi,

I'd like to build myself a media center.
As software I would like Kodi / libreElec or something based on Debian (it's the system I know best).

As hardware I would have thought a RockPro64 4Gb.
Also I would like a quality audio output: I have seen some POT boards but I didn't understand how to use them and if they are compatible with RockPro64 and libreElec.

I would use an eMMC for the operating system but all media files would reside on a separate nas.

I would control everything with the web interface

Do you have any suggestions? Will it work ;) ?

Thank you,
Rickyx

I use libreelec with kodi on my rock64 set top box which streams media files from my nas, so yes it does work.

The rp64 is 3x faster than the r64...

Thank you, I'll go that way!

Dac boards are for R64 only.
But it only works using Volumio: is it still true?

I'm still wondering what to buy.

I would get an r64 - for your use case an rp64 is probably overkill.
