Hi Everyone,
I'm planning on getting a PBP, but to be honest the amount of import tax I saw in another thread made me a bit wary. Is there any way to use another shipping (if I'm not mistaken the PinePhone does not ship with DHL?) or is it possible to buy it in person maybe, at least to avoid the extra charge from DHL? I'd much rather pop out to Poland if possible

IIRC the PinePhone shipping, using Asendia is, at the least, a test run to use for shipping instead of DHL for future PBP sales. Though, we might be seeing the option to choose instead. (I know in the US, DHL gets it delivered very quickly.)

For most European customers Asdendia wold be less expensive than DHL!

Yes, that was the stated intention for choosing them. I believe Luke said that using them offered a potential for lower/no import fees for EU customers.
