Linux distro for Pinebook Pro where Suspend works - appdev46 - 01-23-2020 Does anyone know of a distro for the Pinebook Pro where Suspend is reliably working? Is there a way to get it working on default Debian image? RE: Linux distro for Pinebook Pro where Suspend works - tophneal - 01-23-2020 Look for an image with the BSP kernel. I think ayufan made a few, they have sleep. The Chromium does, too. Don't know about the OOTB Debian though, I thought it did sleep. "Reliable" is still a debatable metric, though. Sleep is reliable on Ayufan's Ubuntu, though like other distros plugging/unplugging the power will wake the device from sleep and leave it on while the lid is still closed. RE: Linux distro for Pinebook Pro where Suspend works - appdev46 - 01-24-2020 Ootb debian does sleep for me but then randomly will wake and drain the battery. I hit suspend, red led comes in, screen goes black but come back hours later and it could be on. I really like ootb debian besides this one issue. RE: Linux distro for Pinebook Pro where Suspend works - nihil - 03-29-2020 Suspend on Manjaro + XFCE is working for me. Change the action for 'closing lid' to suspend, and that was all. RE: Linux distro for Pinebook Pro where Suspend works - xmixahlx - 03-29-2020 suspend can be working for anything using recent manjaro kernel. deep sleep is about 0.1% per hour. |
