Linux distro for Pinebook Pro where Suspend works - appdev46 - 01-23-2020

Does anyone know of a distro for the Pinebook Pro where Suspend is reliably working?

Is there a way to get it working on default Debian image?

Look for an image with the BSP kernel. I think ayufan made a few, they have sleep. The Chromium does, too. Don't know about the OOTB Debian though, I thought it did sleep. "Reliable" is still a debatable metric, though.

Sleep is reliable on Ayufan's Ubuntu, though like other distros plugging/unplugging the power will wake the device from sleep and leave it on while the lid is still closed.

What's the sleep behavior of ootb Debian? It's kernel wasn't forked from bsp?

Ootb debian does sleep for me but then randomly will wake and drain the battery.

I hit suspend, red led comes in, screen goes black but come back hours later and it could be on.

I really like ootb debian besides this one issue.

Suspend on Manjaro + XFCE is working for me.
Change the action for 'closing lid' to suspend, and that was all.

suspend can be working for anything using recent manjaro kernel. deep sleep is about 0.1% per hour.
