For hardware point of view, Pine A64 should able support Windows 10 IoT. We are exploring into Windows 10 IoT OS support possibility and any assistance is welcome.

Windows 10 IoT and Windows 10 are different.

RE: Windows 10 IOT - Ghost - 01-24-2016

Yeah, Windows 10 IoT is a development environment for making Internet of Things devices, not a true operating system.

Microsoft support for ARM-based devices is limited, they usually use Intel processors for most things. They did experiment with ARM for a while but it seems to have largely fallen out of favour.

In addition to Linux, for the Pine A64 there will also be of course the Android OS and Remix OS.

Just to note, here's a video i found of Microsoft apparently using Windows on an ARM processor.

Hoping for Windows 10 though! Big Grin

Unfortunately that video was made back in 2011, during Microsoft's experimental phase with ARM. Their focus has switched away again since then...

As one of the comments to that video says:

Event Handler
It's now 4 years later and nothing of that stuff which is shown in the video is available... Sad

Yeah... it's a real shame. But i'm sure that if Pine64 shows interest with Windows 10, Microsoft might give support. I certainly hope so, anyways. Smile

There is hope, the Windows 10 IoT will support on Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC which is same ARM A53 CPU as Pine A64. Here is the announcement:
