Don't think. Just follow the instructions: :-P
Code:
cd pinebook-pro-keyboard-updater
sudo ./updater step-1 iso (or ansi)
sudo reboot

The instructions are clear. Reboot after each step. And if step 2 fails, reboot, and start from step 1 again.

Hi,

I still got the same error on an ISO keyboard. Step-2 fails with the mismatch error. Touchpad isn't working anymore and now I got this high pitch sound too (appeared during the execution of step-1)

Would be happy to get some more help

I'm also experiencing the exact same issue. Not sure what else to try - tty didn't work.
