Problem with launch Pinebook Pro - Wawe - 12-07-2019 Hello there, Finally came my Pinebook Pro , I read this post https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=4632 and charged him. But after I pushed power button 5-10sec nothing is happen. I found that during charging, red diode shone something around 3 min and then turn off until I plug out charging cable and again plug in. I repeat this procedure couple days and red diode shone a little bit longer but still the notebook doesn't work. Can you help me please? Thanks Problem with launch Pinebook Pro - tophneal - 12-07-2019 From my experience with the 2 models of Pinebook, the red light usually goes off when the battery is charged. Have you tried writing an IMG to SD and booting that? RE: Problem with launch Pinebook Pro - Luke - 12-07-2019 There have been reports of the eMMC module coming loose in shipping. My money is on that. Also, moved this thread to Pinebook Pro section. RE: Problem with launch Pinebook Pro - Arwen - 12-07-2019 @Wawe, We have a Pinebook Pro troubleshooting section on the Wiki. It may help. Here is a link; Wiki - Pinebook Pro - Troubleshooting guide As usual, feel free to correct, improve or comment, (good or politely bad). Thank you very much, that was it. Last question: How to switch language? reinstallation required?, how change user name? and how to change the keyboard on the login screen - there is still UK English, is confusing. Again thank you for your time (12-07-2019, 01:53 PM)Arwen Wrote: @Wawe, We have a Pinebook Pro troubleshooting section on the Wiki. It may help. Here is a link; Thanks that is very useful. No because notebook didn't start. It was a problem with eMMC. Problem with launch Pinebook Pro - tophneal - 12-08-2019 Glad you figured it out. For future reference, if your emmc acts up, you can still boot from another OS using an SD. |
