Once I'm able to confirm compatibility with the Pinebook pro, I'll post back here and add it to the compatible hardware section of the wiki. One thing I would suggest would be to add a column listing the lowest power draw that keeps the respective drive active.
The description for the drive on Newegg reads: Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 1TB PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 3D2, QLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDPEKNW010T8X1
I've tried this drive and get nothing. I'm afraid that I may also have damaged the ribbon for the nVME adaptor in aggressive folding, so I can't be sure it's the SSD, until I get a case for external testing.

I've been using the Intel 660p 500GB version as root with Manjaro for the past couple of days with no issues so far. No crashes/kernel panics. My battery is ~1 hour worse now, No discernable speed increase in loading apps, boot time is the biggest improvement going from ~28s to ~23 seconds.
The new ribbons in the store now should not require folding so i recommend buying a new nvme adapter and trying with that.

I re-opened my case, and reinstalled the existing ribbon carefully - wrapping folds to curve around sections of plastic toothpick and carefully securing the whole assembly with black fabric wire loom tape - like that used in PBP factory assemblies.
The good news is that this "little" drive rocks. I might have gone with the WD Blue 550, for slightly improved power usage, but I'm close to just ditching the EMMc, and may return the difference!

I received a new adapter with my ANSI pinebook pro, and it came with a ribbon that you don't need to fold... just fits perfect now!

Seems that an update would be appropriate. If you are corrected by the community on a manufacturing issue and now the correction is being shipped LIFO is totally backwards to what should be going on. Hacking and sawing to make things work is not the proper format. Think about it.
As for Intel parts the 660p 2280 M.2 seems to be running way to slo in this hardware arrangement, it doe's not utilize Enh pwr loss prevention, that would be Optane series along with a few other interesting factoids. But, at least it works. Once again, it seems rushed and left to others to figure it all out and the next gen will build upon this that is if someone is logging and documenting. It should be stated clear that this is a type "M" keyed device PCIe 3.0, 4 lane NVMe. All these devices were at a way lower price Nov 2019, but there was only 1 hack "me" posted. This whole thing will be outdated before all the duct tape is applied. Personally I did not fill my head with all the spec's this time as I only needed a small machine dedicated to Linux that was not a Pi like SBC. The Rock Chip Boot Loader is also an interesting oversight, since this is a jealous and protected point. Re programmable? that question should come from Rock Chip, think not, think fuse is set.
