Nevermind. I'm returning it to Pine64 for a refund.

What is the purpose of selling?

Problem with WiFi from what I understood.

In what way ?

i.e.
If you use "not" supported hardware from $vendor, you will get some errors.
Which tend to show up in your $client, here PinebooPro.

Weak reception, but mine suffer from the same fate. Considering the antenna is hidden behind a magnesium alloy case, maybe there's a reason, but who knows, I'm not an radio transmission expert. Anyway, I'll on my case just sit and wait until a solution is found, currently it's just a minor annoyance to me, I don't use it as a daily driver.

I also think that it is because of the bad position. The antennas for wi-fi and Bluetooth should be placed at the sides of the keyboard, where the cover is made of plastic. I believe that there are antennas that at a good price could take the place of the preinstalled antenna.

I can't prove not having received my PBP.

Not just a weak signal. Here's the original post to pine64 support: "I tested the wifi reception on my 3 laptops, the PBP running ubuntu mate, an ASUS laptop running ubuntu mate, and a netbook running ubuntu mate. My house is 1 floor, 2 bedroom, wood frame house with plaster walls. I took each laptop from the room with the gateway to the opposite end of the house and noted the wifi signal strength. The ASUS laptop's signal was steady at 65 mb/s in every room. The Toshiba netbook was steady at 52 mb/s in every room. The PBP varied from 72 to 65 mb/s in the room with the gateway down to 6 mb/s in other rooms!" So effectively no wifi reception in rooms adjacent to the gateway.

I bought a usb wifi dongle which solved the problem with diminishing wifi reception at a distance. Reads 72 mb/s in every room! Although this solves the wifi problem, I'm still returning the PBP because I don\t want to take up a usb slot, have a sour taste from the lack of tech support, the incorrectly labeled keyboard, difficulty typing. and lack of support for my wireless printer. If Pine64 sales had agreed to replace my defective device with a working one, I probably would have agreed to the exchange. I'm copying the default OS to eMMC and shipping it back today.
