GrapheneOS? - Paraplegic Racehorse - 11-27-2019

Hey @Luke! Has there been any contact or interest shown in PinePhone (or Tab) from the GrapheneOS developers?

Linux is great, but I'm curious to see if a privacy-focused Android (AOSP) would attract additional interest in the hardware. After all, the "general public" "knows" than "linux is hard" but are already familiar with Android.

GrapheneOs is a very interesting project.  It has pretty specific hardware requirements mo sly around signed code.  I’m pretty sure pinephone won’t meet those requirements.   It’s too bad as would be a very cool option and might help bring more devs to Graphene.

I don't think PinePhone has the hardware requirements that GrapheneOS requires, namely hardware backed keystore. However recently Google introduced OpenTitan so it should be easier to integrate such faetures in a future, hopefully PinePhone 2?, version.
