GrapheneOS? - Paraplegic Racehorse - 11-27-2019 Hey @Luke! Has there been any contact or interest shown in PinePhone (or Tab) from the GrapheneOS developers? Linux is great, but I'm curious to see if a privacy-focused Android (AOSP) would attract additional interest in the hardware. After all, the "general public" "knows" than "linux is hard" but are already familiar with Android. Has there been any contact or interest shown in PinePhone (or Tab) from the GrapheneOS developers? GrapheneOs is a very interesting project. It has pretty specific hardware requirements mo sly around signed code. I’m pretty sure pinephone won’t meet those requirements. It’s too bad as would be a very cool option and might help bring more devs to Graphene. RE: GrapheneOS? - Iolaum - 11-30-2019 I don't think PinePhone has the hardware requirements that GrapheneOS requires, namely hardware backed keystore. However recently Google introduced OpenTitan so it should be easier to integrate such faetures in a future, hopefully PinePhone 2?, version. |
