Q4OS for PinebookPro - q4osteam - 11-20-2019
A stable build of the Q4OS for Pinebook Pro is available. It is based on the Armbian Buster / arm64.

Touchpad speed can be changed in "/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/60-libinput.conf", add the line:
Option "AccelSpeed" "0.80"

A new testing release "q4os-2.7-pinebookpro.r3.zip" is available for download https://sourceforge.net/projects/q4os/files/testing/ . Palemoon, lightweight and fast web-browser featuring modern standards is included in the image. A few fixes and updates are provided as well.

Hi there,
I downloaded and very much like the Q4OS on my pinebook pro, but have a problem with kernel modules:
q4os-2.7-pinebookpro.r5.zip image is using kernel 4.4.203 but the /lib/modules/ folder contains the 4.4.202/ modules.
As a result, I can't get the Arduino Mega to connect. It shows up on usb bus, but needs the cdc-acm.ko which fails.
- how can I generate the correct modules?
- which apt packages do I need to download and build the kernel? Another option for me to add cdc-acm into the kernel. I haven't built a kernel for a loooooong time.
This was the first time I tried Q4OS and very much like the interface. I'm guessing it is using kde 3.5, similar to my slackware machine

This is my favorite desktop. Q4OS is running very well. The big issue I still have is the lack of a working battery indicator. I have on a couple occassions ran until the laptop just shut down. Beyond that it does suspend with the fn - esc combination and comes back to life pretty reliably. The software all seems to work pretty well after settling in for a bit.

Q4OS for Pinebook Pro has switched to Debian Buster. The new major relase is Q4OS 3.11 and it's based on Armbian Buster and Trinity desktop stable R14.0.8 version.
Anyone is welcome for testing, download the Q4OS image from our SourceForge repository https://sourceforge.net/projects/q4os/files/testing/

I can't seem to be able to get this image to boot from either microsd or USB. The previous image worked just fine from my microsd card. All I can get is a backlight black screen. I have flashed the image twice with Balena Etcher, from both Windows and Linux. The SD card is good because I was able to flash and then boot into a different OS on my PBP from it. Ideas anyone?
