Pinebook Pro spares kit - Arwen - 11-17-2019

Anyone else want a Pinebook Pro spare parts kit?

Here is my current list, in priority order;

- Bottom case screws, at least 1 each of short & long
- Rear hinge spacers, 2
- CPU thermal pad
- Laptop disassembly kit, plastic pry tool(s)

And potentially a miniature precision screw driver

I already have the last 2, laptop tools and various screw drivers. But, I can see where someone else would want / need them. Plus, it makes a dedicated kit for the Pinebook Pro. (I once had a laptop SSD failure while traveling. Could not repair because I did not have the parts and tools with me.)

I see there are some Pine stores in other countries.
Such as one in California for the USA as an example.
Perhaps those could sell such 'kits' ?
That would reduce shipping cost and time by a lot.
It would cost perhaps $,50 cents US compared to $8.99

100% in support of this! Spares kit is a great idea and very much needed particularly over the long run. The spacers break relatively easy and the tiny screws are easily lost so probably should have several in a kit. Replacement thermal pads when needed are CPU life saver. Might offer kits with and without tools unless too many SKU's is a problem.

As I mentioned in other threads, I would like to get the generic specifications for these parts.

Although I have no objections to Pine64 offering parts kits.  Shipping may be slow and expensive, compared to other sources.

As far as know, Pine64 does not use any uncommon screw heads.

Unlike Apple, which uses tri-point, pentalobe, etc., just to be difficult  Angry

Supporter of spare part kits.
Also eager interested in parts specifications.
Would like to add a usb-c power supply for the PBP.

All spares, except for the battery (due to shipping issues), will be available in the store eventually

Excellent, I opened mine yesterday to change emmc and found one of the spacers in pieces.  Must have been misaligned when I put it back together last time.

Perfect.

I've not opened my PBP yet, and don't have a need for spare parts. (My eMMC seems seated well, and I don't have WiFi issues that would suggest a loose antenna.)

- A Pine sticker for the case.
- More than two spare spacers.
