Cannot power on the PBP - MC68060 - 11-09-2019 Hi, I just received my new Pinebook Pro today. But I can not turn it on When I press the Power-Button most times nothings happens, sometimes the power-LED turns on for a quarter second and then it's off again. I've tried with and without power-supply, read in the wiki about the emmc-switch and the SD-Card ribbon. Tried both with no luck. I tried also without battery and the power-brick cable connected, but also nothing. Any suggestions? RE: Cannot power on the PBP - Kochise - 11-09-2019 Perhaps if the processor was a mc68060... With a 68060 it would be no problem *g But I also got the RockChip to boot. The eMMC seems to be empty, I deselected it with the switch and used a SD-Card to boot. And I learned that you have to push the power-button longer to turn it on. There should be something like a FAQ for beginner. RE: Cannot power on the PBP - xalius - 11-10-2019 If you booted from sdcard, try and write the default image to the emmc with dd. Just to check the emmc is good. RE: Cannot power on the PBP - MC68060 - 11-10-2019 Checked the emmc with gparted, it was complete empty. Just wrote the Image to the emmc. Now it's booting from it RE: Cannot power on the PBP - Arwen - 11-10-2019 @MC68060, just added that issue to the troubleshooting guide; Wiki - Pinebook Pro - New from the factory - Pinebook Pro won't boot / power on RE: Cannot power on the PBP - Luke - 11-10-2019 (11-10-2019, 03:29 PM)Arwen Wrote: @MC68060, just added that issue to the troubleshooting guide; Good stuff, doing a great job. |
