Cannot power on the PBP - MC68060 - 11-09-2019

Hi,

I just received my new Pinebook Pro today.
But I can not turn it on Sad

When I press the Power-Button most times nothings happens, sometimes the power-LED turns on for a quarter second and then it's off again.
I've tried with and without power-supply, read in the wiki about the emmc-switch and the SD-Card ribbon.
Tried both with no luck.

I tried also without battery and the power-brick cable connected, but also nothing.

Any suggestions?

Perhaps if the processor was a mc68060...

With a 68060 it would be no problem *g

But I also got the RockChip to boot.
The eMMC seems to be empty, I deselected it with the switch and used a SD-Card to boot.
And I learned that you have to push the power-button longer to turn it on.

There should be something like a FAQ for beginner.

If you booted from sdcard, try and write the default image to the emmc with dd. Just to check the emmc is good.

Checked the emmc with gparted, it was complete empty.
Just wrote the Image to the emmc.
Now it's booting from it Smile
