Sorry to hear you have been so disappointed.
Myself, I have been using my PBP more or less 'as is' for the time being it works great. ( I just upgraded the 64gb emmc to a 128 )
I was concerned about the extra power to run the NVMe/SSD -- one of the Great things about the original set-up is the long battery life.
... I am kind of waiting for more feedback from other forum members.

I did not order the Pine store's NVMe SD Interface Adapter with the initial Pro purchase but ordered after the fact and after a fix was being discussed and reportedly in the works. The adapter received a week or two ago did not include the fix.
I was not surprised as after I had ordered the adapter, I received an answer from customer support to the question of whether they would be shipping the "fixed" adapter hardware.
The response was the following "We still ship the new screw the hold the eMMC card to the first batch buyer. The new screw been trim and give enough clearance for NVMe card installation."
So a few questions to clarify:
1. Is there a completed solution for the adapter/trackpad interference problem available yet and if so is it shipping yet and if not when will it ship?
2. What does the "fixed" adapter kit look like? Photos?
3. Others have asked but will ask again:
Has any one found a source for other non-Pine NVMe compatible adapters with cable that could plausibly be made to work? This would sure be useful for those that are faced with extended wait times due to possibly protracted order fulfillment and slow international shipping from Hong Kong.
Maybe I've missed an update somewhere and if so my apologies but any official guidance on this would be appreciated and thanks for all the great effort being made by everyone on this project.

There is a company out there that produces desktops, laptops & phones that are privacy & security oriented, call Purism. They are actually pretty nice, and are more mainstream construction than our Pinebook Pro. (But are also more expensive as a result.)
I looked at them some time ago, but then Meltdown & Spectre reared it's ugly head. After the falllout, I found that I am now avoiding Intel CPUs, which Purism uses in their laptops and desktops.

Actually it IS better for AMD x86_x64 & ARM type CPUs.
Meltdown, Foreshadow, TLBleed, Fallout, RIDL and ZombieLoad are Intel only CPU security flaws. (There may be others that I don't know about or forgot.) I guess that makes Intel the World Leader In CPU Security Flaws.
That said, (I do love a bit of hyperbole, especially when it involves hyperthreading :-), I am more mad at Intel for both not jumping on real, hardware fixes sooner. And potentially ignoring the security flaws in the first place, just to be a tiny bit faster than the competition.
To be clear, I am aware that not only do other CPUs have security flaws, they may include ones that Intel does not have.
Everytime I perform an update of my 6 year old Intel laptop, I am reminded how much slower it has become since the software mitigations for the security flaws came out. It was perfectly reasonable for updates before. Now, it can take days to perform an update, (to compile all the code, even on a SSD).

you notice the speed loss far less with some systems, such as mine, its a dual socket Xeon workstation, dual E5 Xeon 6-core's, 80.0 GB DDR3 ECC, GTX 1050 TI 4GB
I personally prefer AMD as well, and have a Phenom II X6 build with 3-way SLI in the other room, but with GTX 285s that suck power like a kid with soda. I got given this motherboard, and i work in a datacenter so Xeon chips are all over the place from retired servers, so i threw this thing togeather, its a monstrosity, the board is massive, and its sitting inside a massive full size leftover server tower.
This build uses a fraction of the power of the AMD system, mostly due to the videocard differences, GTX 285s are known to be thirsty by themselves, and it has 3 of the suckers in it with a 1KW power supply, dual pumps for the watercooling, and a raid system with SSDs and Rotating drives. I might as well have a second A/C unit running power wise. I was right about to build a new AMD platform, or rather upgrade the existing one with new CPU, MB, RAM, but this dual xeon board fell into my lap and now i dont plan to until i have real need.

I’m trying to contact someone about a new NVMe adapter (as per the blog post at https://www.pine64.org/2020/02/15/february-update-post-cny-and-fosdem-status-report/), but have not received any reply. I’ve tried both info@pine64.org and sales@pine64.org with no response. How should I proceed?
Has anyone else had issues contacting Pine regarding a replacement NVMe adapter?
